Zora Alice Winchester

Zora Alice Winchester, 96 of Plainfield, Indiana passed away February 1, 2023. She was born February 14, 1926, in Oneida, Tennessee to the late Sylvester and Elva (Smith) Blevins. Zora had worked for Walmart for many years helping customers at the Dressing Rooms and as a Greeter prior to her retiring. Prior to her time at Walmart, she worked for Rath Packing Company. She enjoyed numerous things but cooking and sewing were some of her favorite things to do. She was described by her family as “selflessness”, always thinking of others and their feeling and desires. Zora was a faithful member of the Plainfield Christian Church in Plainfield, IN. She was loved by so many people and will be dearly missed. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Rose (Bob) Graham, her grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren, Tony and Timothy Graham, Samantha (Sonny) Kaliman, Aceyn Kaliman, Savian Graham, Cheyanne (Nick) Taskey, Lyla Taskey, Tara Rose Graham, Jason Graham, Lincoln Xavior, Taylor, her brother, Robert Lee (Ann) Blevins, her nephews, Richard Shaw, and Robert “Bobby” Shaw, her sister-in-law, Cheryl Blevins, and a host of extended family and friends. Zora was preceded in death by her loving husband, Everett Winchester, and her siblings, Opal, Charlene, Clarence, Oakley, and Andrew. Services will be held for Zora on Sunday, February 12, 2023, 2:00 pm at Flanner Buchanan Decatur Township with Pastor Steve White, officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00pm until the service at 2:00pm at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at West Newton Cemetery, West Newton, IN following the service.
