Yvonne "Bonn" Grismore

Yvonne “Bonn” Grismore, 72, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on April 3, 2023. She was born on May 13, 1950, in Indianapolis, to Kenneth King Jr., and Florence (Scruggs) King.

She graduated from Warren Central High School in 1968. She married Harold “Bill” Grismore the following year, on October 4, 1969, at St. Philip Neri Church. They were married for 53 years.

Yvonne liked reading, keeping up with current events, jewelry, and Egyptology. Her favorite pastime was going to concerts. She went to as many shows as she could, and always had to be close to the stage. She also loved visiting Las Vegas, and called it her “home away from home”.

She was a kind, loving, and giving woman. She demonstrated this best when she donated a kidney to her daughter, Amy, in 1998. She touched the lives of many people. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, and she will be deeply missed.

Yvonne is survived by her husband, Harold “Bill” Grismore; daughter, Kelly Grismore; grandson, Trevor Grismore; sisters, Robyn Slye and Wanda Thompson, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Amy Grismore; and sister, Teresa Sullivan.

As per Yvonne’s wishes, there will be no funeral held. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
