Winnie Ellen Kincaid

Winifred Ellen “Winnie” Kincaid, 93, Carmel, passed away Friday April 13, 2018. She was born October 2, 1924, in Saint-Lambert, Quebec to the late George DeWitt and Daisy Maude (Sandiford) Daughraty.

Winnie was a woman who wore many hats. While she wasn’t raising her three sons (which was a job in itself), and keeping the books for Kincaid’s Meat Market, she was on the Board of Directors of the Riverview Health Foundation as well as serving on the Riverview Women’s Retreat committee, and the Riverview Women of Vision committee. Winnie also was a member of the Indianapolis Yacht Club as well as the Woodland County Club, and she also attended Orchard Park Presbyterian Church. In her free time Winnie loved to play bridge, golf, and go bowling.

Winnie is survived by her son, Randy (Gail) Kincaid; grandchildren, Whitney, Ashley, Kelsey, Caitlin, Christine, and Andrew; great grandchildren, Teddy, Richie, and Chloe; and daughters-in-laws, Cindy, and Lisa. Winnie is preceded in passing by her parents; brother, William Edward Daughraty; sons, Ronald, and Dana; and her husband Donald L. Kincaid.

A memorial visitation will be held from 3:00p.m.-5:00p.m. Wednesday April 25, 2018 at Flanner Buchanan – Carmel, 325 East Carmel Drive, Carmel, Indiana 46032, followed by a celebration of life service at 5:00p.m. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Riverview Health Foundation, the Hamilton County Humane Society, or Conner Prairie.
