Winfred E. Mills

Winfred E. Mills of New Palestine died peacefully on June 8, 2020 at the age of 77.

He was born March 27, 1943 in Roanoke, VA to the late Frank Mills and Dorothy B. Hughes (nee Eubanks).

Winfred served in the US Army as a Tank Commander and later a Recruiter retiring after 20 years serving from 1962-1982. He started a second career working for Tom O’Brien selling cars for over 10 years.  He enjoyed working on projects with his son, especially working on cars. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived children Jefferey Mills and Kathleen Melloh; grandchildren Morgan, Jacob and Kristen; and siblings Brenda Davis (Stan) and Jeff Mills.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years Jeanetta K. Mills in April, and brothers Glen Mills and Frank Richard Mills.

The family is holding private services.
