Willie Odell -Bill- Dalton

Master Sergeant Willie O. “Bill” Dalton, born in Elletsville, IN on August 8, 1937, passed away in his home in Indianapolis on Sunday, October 9th. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Janet C. Dalton (Walden); sons, William (Beth), James (Diane), Jon (Jill) and Paul. 11 Grandchildren and 4 Great-Grandchildren. Bill is also survived by siblings, Red, Mary, Helen and Shirley. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Leroy. Member of VFW & Am. Legion. 20 year US Army Veteran and Bronze Star recipient who ALWAYS stood for the National Anthem and proudly served in Vietnam & Korea to preserve the right for those who choose to kneel. Bill was a professional bowler who built Coleman Lanes on Ft. Harrison and also loved to fish with his friends & family. A Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, October 15th at Flanner and Buchanan – Memorial Park at 1pm. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the service, also at the funeral home. Services will conclude with the playing of the National Anthem, along with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Indianapolis Humane Society.
