Willie Mae Throop

Willie Mae Throop, 83 of Indianapolis, IN passed away May 9, 2022. She was born July 7, 1938, in Westmoreland, Tennessee to the late Burton B. and Mary Elizabeth (Huntsman) Shaw. Willie served as a Hostess for Bob Evans for 24 years. She was a member of Mars View Christian Church and enjoyed Ceramics and Sewing as hobbies. She was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving husband, James A. Throop, children, Mark (Lynne) Throop, Steve (Sherry) Throop, grandchildren, Josh, Adam, Daniel, Leah, and great grandchildren, Lincoln, Carter and Caleb. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a great grandchild, Emily and a sister, Vera Meador. Services will be held on Monday, May 16, 2022, 5pm at Flanner Buchanan Decatur Township with visitation there from 3:00pm until the service time at 5:00pm. Additional visitation will be Wednesday, May 18, 2022, 9:30am-12:00pm CST held at Goad Funeral Home 215 W. Main Street Scottsville, KY. She will be laid to rest at Maple Grove Cemetery, in Scottsville following the visitation at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts are requested to be may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
