Willie H. Blythe went to meet his beloved wife, Jewell E. Blythe on June 24, 2020. He was born December 14, 1922 in Burkesville, Kentucky.
Willie was preceded in death by his son, Ricky Joe Blythe; 3 sisters, 1 brother; 2 grandsons, and one great-grandson.
He is survived by his daughters, Brookie Sue G’sell and Barbara Ann Blue; sister Myrtle Ratliff; 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Willie was active in Crooked Creek Baptist Church and the Masons. He always helped anyone he could. He was very proud to be part of the team that built Dale Hollow Dam that borders the Kentucky and Tennessee State line. After moving to Indianapolis, he worked as a machinist until retiring in 1984. Upon retirement he repaired lawn equipment.
Services will be held at Flanner Buchanan – Speedway, 2950 N. High School Road, Indianapolis, on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at 12pm. Visitation will be from 11am to 12pm. The family respectfully asks that anyone in attendance wears a mask for health and safety.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The Shriners Children’s Hospital.
