William "Willie" "Bill" Edward Hardin

William “Willie” “Bill” Edward Hardin, 72, of Mooresville, Indiana passed away on December 28, 2018. He was born August 31, 1946 to Dean and DeEtte (Ford-Moore) Hardin; he was their only child.

Willie, born and raised in Indianapolis, was a graduate from George Washington High School. He met the love of his life, Judy, in 1968 when the two crossed paths at a local Dog n’ Suds. They went on to marry in 1970 and spend 48 beautiful years together raising their two children; they remain deeply in love at the time of his passing. He was honorably discharged from the United States Navy, where he proudly served his country; a true protector of our nation. He obtained his associates degree in business at Ivy Tech. Willie was a retiree from Target Distribution Center, where he dutifully worked for 20 years. He was a true provider and took pride in ensuring his family was taken care. He loved traveling, especially trips to Las Vegas, and eating breakfast foods any time of day. While all of these things describe who he was, he is best remembered as being an amazing husband, father, and grandfather. He especially adored his only grandchild, Tyler, whom he helped raise into the man he is today. William was a one of a kind man; his passing leaves an empty space in those who were lucky enough to meet him.

He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by wife, Judy Diane; children, Jennifer and Brian; and grandson, Tyler. Family and friends are invited to visit Wednesday, January 2, 2018 from 4-7 PM at Flanner Buchanan – Decatur Township. Services will take place, Thursday, January 3 at 11:30 AM with visitation from 9:30-11:30 AM. Willie will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood, Indiana immediately following services.
