William "Ted" Bradfield

William T. “Ted” Bradfield, age 72, of Indianapolis, passed away on July 29, 2018. Ted was born in Plymouth, IN on June 12, 1946 to parents, Virgil and Catherine (Burkett) Bradfield. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Business from Indiana University. Ted worked in sales for many years before owning a factory that produced corrugated boxes. He later went on to work as a business representative for the Indiana Masonic Home Foundation.
Ted was an active and dedicated member of the Masonic Lodge for over 50 years. He was a member of the Millersville Masonic Lodge #126; Past Master of the Peru-Miami Masonic Lodge #67; member of the Scottish Rite; Officer of the Red Cross of Constantine; member of the Millersville York Rite; Past Grand Sentinel for the Grand Council; member of the Murat Shrine and Past President of the Shrine Transportation Unit; and Coordinator for the Shrine’s Children’s Christmas Party.
Ted was a faithful member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church and The Garden Community Church.
While Ted was a busy man, he remained present and dedicated to his family and friends. He enjoyed supporting his children in any of their endeavors and was a constant source of encouragement in doing things his way. He was a supportive and loving husband to his wife, Kathy and the two enjoyed many travels together during their ten years of marriage. Ted adored spending time with the ones he loved.
Ted was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil Bradfield and Catherine Olsen. He is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen A. “Kathy” (Leamon) Bradfield; his children, Jason Bradfield (Brenda) and Heather Ousley (Robert “Shane”); grandchildren: Devin Bradfield (Heidi), Tyler Murphy, Aliza Zielinski, Becca Fox (Kody), Ryan (Jessica), Akasha, Aaron and Elesha Freeman, Chasity Irvin (Aaron) and Jasmine Ousley; 7 great-grandchildren (with one on the way); brothers, Bryan Bradfield (Penny), Robert “Bob” Bradfield (Jody Rowe); sister, Sheryl Caslow (Mike); and many other loving family members and friends.
Calling will be held from 4pm until 8pm on Friday, August 3, 2018 and additionally from 10am-12 Noon on Saturday, August 4th at Flanner Buchanan- Broad Ripple, 1305 Broad Ripple Ave., Indianapolis. A masonic service will be held at 7:30pm on Friday and his funeral services will immediately follow Saturday’s calling at 12 Noon. Burial will be in Floral Park Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Ted’s memory may be made to St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, The Garden Community Church or the Murat Shrine Transportation Club.
