William Paul Johnson

William “Paul” Johnson of Indianapolis passed away May 26, 2021 at the age of 72.

He was born January 25, 1949 in Monterey, Tennessee to the late William R. Johnson and Delilah Beaty Johnson.

His passions include woodworking and building things with his hands, working in the yard, and playing the guitar and singing. He loved his family and enjoyed his time with his grandchildren.  He will be remembered as one the favorites in the family and will be greatly missed.

Paul is survived by his wife Martha A. Johnson; children Donna Johnson, Renay Reed, Tony Vermillion, Amanda Rodriguez, Jason Johnson (Scharla), Paula Kendal (James), and Guy Day; 20 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sister Rita Greeson (Gerald); as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Reba Baker, Edna Gibson, Billy Johnson, Imogene Dickens, and Ruby Bendler.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 2 from 10 AM to 1 PM at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St, Indianapolis.  Funeral Services will begin at 1 PM.  Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery.
