William Patrick “Bill” Ryan

68, of Indianapolis, passed away August 14, 2017. Bill was born in Akron, OH on June 13, 1949 to the late Tom and Joanne (Barrett) Ryan. Bill graduated from Archbishop Hoban High School and attended the University of Akron. He served his country honorably in the US Marines Corp, and worked for many years as a district manager for various retailers, setting up new stores. He went on to work for the IRS in customer service and retired as a manager after 20 years. Bill loved enjoying new foods and culture, he enjoyed golfing and especially bowling.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert "Bob" Ryan and Michael "Mike" Ryan, and nephew, Andre.

Bill will be lovingly missed by his wife of 30 years, Aotoa L. (Lelei) Ryan; sisters: Janet Ryan, Jean Ryan, Christine (Philip) Scozzaro and Terri (Timothy) Reece; Tom (Kim) Ryan; sisters-in-law, Karen Ryan and Aolele Tupea (Vito); brothers-in-law: Mausali Nielsen (Hana) and Jonathan L. Ioane; several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and a host of other loving family members and friends.

Friends may call from Noon until 2pm on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at Flanner and Buchanan- Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis. Funeral Services will immediately follow at 2pm in the funeral center. Burial with military honors will follow services in Washington Park East Cemetery.
