William Stephen McIntyre

William Stephen “Steve” McIntyre 79 of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away May 3, 2024.  He was born June 17, 1944, in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late William Ernest and Catherine McIntyre.  Steve, as he was affectionately known, was a Union Steel Worker for Olin Brass prior to his retirement. He was a member of the Steel Workers Union and served in the United States Army.  Steve enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding motorcycles, gardening, especially growing and then canning what he had grown, he enjoyed his Koi fish, he loved to cook especially breakfast foods, roast, and his chocolate chip and peanut butter cookies were favorites of his family, but he especially enjoyed spending time with his family, spoiling his grandchildren. Steve is survived by his children, William J. McIntyre, Dawn Dodd, Crystal (Brandon) Combs, Katherine (Chad) Moore, his 12 grandchildren, his 8 great grandchildren, and his sister, Kathy (John) Corbett.  Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Cathy  (Burgess) McIntyre.  To celebrate Steve’s life please join his family for a time of sharing your memories and stories with them on Monday, May 13, 2024, 1:00pm-4:00pm at Flanner Buchanan Decatur Township.  Flanner Buchanan is entrusted with his cremation.  To sign the online guestbook and share your memories with his family please go to www.flannerbuchanan.com
