William John "Bill" Chichwak

William (Bill) Chichwak, 81, of Indianapolis, passed away on February 23, 2019. William was born in Pittsburgh, PA on October 28, 1937 to parents, William and Anna (Bycura) Chichwak. Bill graduated from the University of Pittsburgh and then earned his MBA from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business. During his career, Bill served his country honorably in the US Army, rising to the rank of Major. Following his military retirement, Bill worked as a real estate broker and owned and operated MAC Realty and Property Management. In addition, he was an adjunct professor of computer science at IUPUI. He loved spending time with his family and especially enjoyed visits with his great-grandchildren. He was able to attend the Indy Honor Flight that took him to Washington, D.C., where he was appropriately honored for his service.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann (Hober) Chichwak; and his parents, William and Anna.

Survivors include his children: Barbara Crouse (Thomas), Nancy Wiser (Pete), Chrisy Hedge (Ken), Cathy Adams (Kirt) and Bill Chichwak (Ginger); 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Michael; as well as many other friends.

Calling hours will be held from 4 pm until 8 pm on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 and from 9 am until 10 am on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at Flanner Buchanan- Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite), 9700 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis. Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, February 27th following the calling time. Burial will follow services at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
