William “Jim” James Mahoney III
64, of Indianapolis, passed away on April 19, 2017. He was born December 27, 1952 in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Jim enjoyed creative problem solving for every kind of mechanical and construction issue. He also deeply enjoyed creative cooking and providing food treats for his colleagues. Among his other enthusiasms were restoring vintage tractors, automobiles of many kinds, fishing, landscape photography, arts and crafts, and traveling.

He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Nancy Louise Mahoney; Son, William James Mahoney IIII; Sister, Nancy Minahan; Step-daughter, Lisa Michelle Finchum; Nieces, Robyn and Kristi Minahan; Great-Nephew, Kai Orion Minahan; Step-Grandchildren, Alyson Mulry, Dylon Michael Finchum, and Adalyne Miyoko Finchum.

Jim was preceded in death by parents, William James Mahoney II and Marjorie (Clarke) Mahoney; and step-daughter, April Mulry.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, April 25 from 4-8PM at Flanner and Buchanan—Decatur Township, 5463 Kentucky Ave. A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, April 26 at 11AM with additional visitation one hour prior. Jim will be laid to rest at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburg, Indiana following services.
