William J. Ousley

William J. Ousley, 70, Noblesville, passed away January 14, 2016. He was born August 24, 1945, in Prestonsburg, KY, the son of the late Henry and Bertha (Stephens) Ousley. He married Barbara Arnett on April 19, 1968.

Bill served in the United States Navy in the Vietnam War, he later served in the Army National Guard. He retired in 2001 from Chrysler. He was a member of the VFW Post 6246, American Legion Post 45, and the UAW local 685. He loved animals, gardening, fishing, but his greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family.

He is survived by wife of 47 years, Barbara Ousley; four daughters, Jo Ann Jarrell, Deborah (Bradley) Neal, Bertha Lynn (Scott Perry) Hughes, and Jennifer (Robert) Ciesialka; seven grandchildren, Jillian, Kristin, Shelby, Makayla, Robert, William, and Lena; great grandson, Grayson; and siblings, Ruby Shepherd, Robert Ousley, Russell (Wanda) Ousley, and Lou (Cliff) Morris. He was preceded in passing twin grandchildren, Katherine and Ian Ciesialka; and a sister, Edna Grace Ousley.

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 19, 2016, at Flanner and Buchanan – Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite), 9700 Allisonville Road. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
