William J. "Bill" Spencer

William J. “Bill” Spencer, age 77, of Carmel, IN passed away June 16, 2018. Bill was born in Danville, IN on June 23, 1940 to parents, William Elmer and Mildred (Burgin) Spencer. He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Ball State University. Bill was a member of Second Presbyterian Church and was an avid sports fan, especially IU.
Bill is survived by his wife, Bonnie H. (Hutchins) Spencer; children: Tammie S. Spencer and William E. “Bill” Spencer (Sarah); grandchildren: Alyssa, Charles, Nicholas, Drew, Jackson and Maryn; and his siblings: Judy Genrich, Linda Guyer, Robert Spencer and Patti Schlom.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Rebecca Streeter.
A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Monday, June 25, 2018 at Second Presbyterian Church, 7700 N. Meridian Street, Indianapolis, with a receiving line to immediately follow at 3pm.
