William G. Pursel

William G. Pursel, 86, of Carmel passed away December 16, 2021.  He was born October 10, 1935, in Noblesville, the son of the late Sam H. and Louise (Witt) Pursel.  He married Sandra (Bentley) Pursel, who preceded him in passing on July 4, 2009, after 41 years of marriage.

Bill honorably served in the United States Army from 1958 until 1960.  He attended Wabash College, where he was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity.  He later received his bachelor’s degree from Indiana University.  He retired from St. Vincent – Indianapolis where he was in charge of purchasing.

Bill and Sandy enjoyed traveling, spending many of their vacations at Hilton Head.

He is survived by a brother, James Pursel; a sister, Janeane (Michael) Arbuckle; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in passing by a brother, Robert M. Pursel.

A memorial gathering will be from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Flanner Buchanan- Carmel, located at 325 E. Carmel Dr., Carmel, IN, 46032.
