William E. Farmer

Age 78, of Indianapolis, passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at his home. Bill, as he was commonly known, was born in Beech Grove, IN on March 26, 1939 to his parents, Frank and Frances (Wilson) Farmer. Bill worked previously as a fireman for Conrail Railroad and most recently for Airtech Heating and Air, where he was a Sheet Metal Worker.

Bill is survived by his wife of 48 years, Arlene (Knight) Farmer, whom he married on August 30, 1969. He is also survived by his 3 daughters, Deborah Hooker (Jeff), Dianna Luther (Mark) and Cathy Zimmerman (George “GJ”); 12 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Frances; sister, Shirley Lynch and brother, Frank Farmer, Jr.

Services will be private. Arrangements: Flanner and Buchanan- Washington Park East.
