William E. -Bill- Greathouse

William E. Greathouse, age 83 of Indianapolis, passed away on June 5, 2017. He was born February 20, 1934 in Indianapolis to William E. and Weeda Greathouse, who precede him in death. He is also preceded in death by his son, Michael and grandson, Jeremy. Bill graduated from George Washington High School in 1952. He retired from Citizens Gas after 40 years of service. In his spare time, Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, yard work and watching Nascar and Indy 500 races. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. He attended Lifeline Baptist Church.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife of 63 years, Ruth, son, William A. (Karen) Greathouse, sisters, Barbara Hartley and Doyne Hemmings, grandsons, Christopher, Bobby, Nick and Cory as well as 4 great-grandchildren.

Friends may visit from 11 AM until the service at 1 PM, Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Flanner and Buchanan – Decatur Township, 5463 Kentucky Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46221.
