79, of Indianapolis, went to be with his Lord on December 6, 2016. He proudly served for eight years in the Army National Guard. He retired as a contract supervisor with the railroad industry after 37 years. After retirement, he was employed as a driver for Crestwood East Senior Center.
A 32nd degree mason, he enjoyed playing golf with the Pleasant Run Old Timers, he loved card games with family and friends and knowing answers to Jeopardy. He also loved watching all Indianapolis sports teams, in particular, the Indianapolis Indians as a season ticket holder. He was fortunate to have vacationed in all 50 states with his wife Barbara.
Bill was known for his quick wit, his keen sense of humor, and his ability to gladly help those in need. He will be sadly missed by his wife of over 60 years, Barbara Bayliff; his daughters, Tamra and her husband Tom and Tara and her husband Gary; son, Trent; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service for Bill will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, December 9, 2016 at Faith United Methodist Church, 9031 E. 16th St, Indianapolis, where friends may gather from 11am until the service time.
