William (Billy) James Cameron, a construction project manager at Freije Engineered Solutions
and resident of Noblesville, IN died unexpectedly on May 20, 2020 at the age of 29 while on
vacation in BWCA, Lake County Minnesota.
Billy is survived by his mother, Akemi Cameron, his long-term girlfriend Nataly Yokhanis, his
brothers Yohei Cameron, Shun(Breanna) Cameron, sisters Loredana(Curt) Kremerskotter,
Rosalie Cameron, nieces and nephews Kaylee and Kenzie Cameron, Jacqueline Orcutt, Curtis
Cameron and Lorelai Kremerskotter, several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is predeceased by
his father, William (Bill) Cameron, grandparents Toshikazu and Aya Tokunaga, William
Cameron, and Barbara Hall.
Billy was born in Tokyo, Japan on May 18,1991 to Bill and Akemi Cameron, but grew up in
Carmel, IN. He graduated in 2014 from Ball State University with a degree in Construction
Management. He was a devoted boyfriend with plans to propose to Nataly in the future, a
beloved uncle, and a friend to everyone he met. Billy was a skilled athlete and spent most of his
childhood playing hockey, traveling the country with his dad. Billy was the first person to win the
Hobey Baker Award in 2009 while playing for the Carmel Icehounds.
Billy was an avid outdoorsman and craftsman. He enjoyed working on projects that involved
woodworking, welding, and engineering. He was a backpacking and camping fanatic, spending
most of his vacation time on trips that he would meticulously plan. He was incredibly patient,
kind, loving, and loyal. He was very detail oriented and strived to be the best at everything that
he did. He was also a problem-solver who often took on difficult and unwanted projects at work
and was always the first one to handle tasks around his mom’s house.
