William “Bill” Don Proctor, formally of Silverdale, Wa., passed away on Feb. 18th, 2022 after a long illness. He was deeply loved and will be fully missed by his family and many friends. Bill worked in St. Louis at Switzer Candy Factory and then in retail for 20+ years in both Silverdale and Indianapolis. He was an active member of his church choir for many years in Silverdale. Upon moving to Indianapolis, he attended St. Michael Church until his health made it too difficult. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Wa. Bill was loved by many who were blessed by his simplicity and humility. He was devoted to his dog, Toby, for the last 14 years. He is survived by a son, Anthony Hammer, 7 siblings, his father and step-mother and 2 grandchildren, Korbin and Alexie. He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father of Silverdale, Wa. A wake will be held on Friday, Feb. 25th from 6:00 pm to 8:00pm at Flanner Buchanan-Washington Park North, 2706 Kessler Blvd. West Dr. 46228 Funeral will be held at St. Michael the Archangel Church (3352 W. 30th St. 46222) on Saturday, Feb. 26th at 10:30 am.
