William “Bill” Albert Clements
84, of Indianapolis, passed away on April 10, 2021. He was born on June 17, 1936 in Clementsville, Kentucky as the son of Hubert and Delmar Clements.
Fisherman and retired teamster, Bill loved working in the yard, playing slot machines, listening to bluegrass music, watching westerns on the “idiot box” and incessantly using the phrase “hell fire!” One of ten children, Bill grew up on a tobacco farm where he helped his mom care for his siblings and neighbors. He later came to Indiana on a motorcycle, met his wife Shirley in the small town of Lebanon, IN and eventually settled down just outside the county line of Zionzville, IN where he dedicated the rest of his life to his wife and children. Bill was married fifty years and proud of it!
He is survived by his daughter Sheila R Cole, son William M Clements, 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley J Clements and daughter Lori A O’Banion.
