William "Bill" Aaron Stevenson

William “Bill” Aaron Stevenson, 86, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2022. Bill is survived by his children William “Tony” Stevenson and Karen (Walt) Unterberger, grandsons Luke (Samira) and Andrew Stevenson, and Ryan and Ross (Alyssa) Hartman, and great-granddaughters Joan Lou and Claire Diana Hartman. He is also survived by sister Jane (Gene) Jacobs, and brothers Bobby, Alvin (Sue) and Mike (Joni) Stevenson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Velma Stevenson, his beloved wife of 41 years, Mary Diana Stevenson, his cherished sister-in-law, Ethel Stevenson, and companion Shirley Jones.

Bill grew up on a farm in Russellville, Kentucky, and joined the US Army after high school. On June 14, 1957, he married the love his life, Mary Diana Williams. Soon after, Bill began his career in the terrazzo flooring industry, retiring as Business Agent for the Local and International Union of Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers in 1999. He loved restoring classic cars and trucks and growing the finest Indiana tomatoes.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 am Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at CrossBridge Church, where Bill was a member, located at 4309 West 79^th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46268, followed by the funeral service at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
