Willadean Kraning

Willadean “Willie” Kraning, 83, of Indianapolis, passed away on Friday, July 21, 2017.

She was born on April 7, 1934 in Bowling Green, KY to the late Milligan and Mary Edna (Hudson) Miller. Willie married Forest “Fuzzy” Kraning and together they bought land and built a family home; a home she lived in for the rest of her life. She also traveled every winter to her Florida home and spent the winter by her youngest son and daughter-in-law. Later on in her marriage they bought and ran the Rivoli Theatre and played family films. Willie also worked for Lane Bryant, for 19 years, retiring in 1980. She was loyal to her faith, Jehovah Witnesses for 67 years. Willie’s loves included nature, animals, gardening, camping and cruising. However, her greatest love was her family. She was known by many as Willie, Momma, Grandma and Granny. She was a non-judgmental person who will be dearly missed by all.

Willie is survived by her large extended family including her brother, David (Phyllis) Miller; 5 children, Ronald (Tammie) Kraning, Maralyn (Bill) Allen, Karolyn (Karo) Howe, Sheri Lyn (Marty) Kraning and Billy (Mary) Kraning; 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild.

Willie was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband; daughter, Sharon Elaine; grandson, Jody Kraning; granddaughter, Dione Allen; great-grandchildren, Kyleigh and Camryn Kraning and Issac Chaddon; 4 sisters and 1 brother.

Visitation for Mrs. Kraning will be held on Monday, July 24, 2017 from 2-8pm at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday morning at 10am, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Floral Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Brookside Congregation East Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
