Wilbur F. Anderson Jr. 70, of Fortville, passed away July 12, 2017. He was born in Evansville, IN on February 4, 1947. He was an Army veteran of Vietnam, where he earned a Purple Heart for his courageous service. After his honorable discharge from the Army, he was a CAD technician until he retired. He was a car enthusiast and loved motorcycles. He enjoyed being outside boating and fishing, but above all he loved spending time with his family and rarely missed a sporting event for his grandsons. He never met a stranger, and lived his life the fullest, he will be dearly missed by so many who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur Sr. and Doris Anderson, his first wife Linda Sue Anderson, and father-in-law Robert Smith.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Linda I Anderson; three daughters, April (Eric) Carlson, Melissa Akers, and Christine (John) Conner; grandsons, Dylan Conner, Dalton Conner, and Cayden Carlson; brothers, DuWayne E. Anderson and Robbin K. Anderson; and mother-in-law Lucille C. Smith.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 19, 2017 from 3pm until 8pm and Thursday, July 20th from 12pm until the service time of 2pm at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St, Indianapolis. Burial will be in Washington Park East Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Disabled American Veterans, DAV, and the Paralyzed Veterans of America.
