Wesley S. Capito

Wesley Stephen Capito, born to Virginia (Gingy) and Joe Capito, died at the age of 59 on January 9, 2023, at Life’s Journey of Avon, after a courageous battle with congestive heart disease for many years. Wes graduated from Ben Davis High school in 1981, was a proud member of the US Marine Corps, and finally found his niche and love of over the road (OTR) trucking as an owner/driver of Capito Trucking, the family business. Later he drove OTR for many years, with various carriers, touching every state but Alaska, ending his trucking career with Jett Express where he made lifelong friends and colleagues who stood by him and cared for him until the end.

Wes is survived by his favorite Aunt Wadie, and predeceased by his canine, best friend, and companion, KJ, who was his copilot in the truck and in life, and also his parents Gingy and Joe Capito. A celebration of Wes’s life will be held at a later date for close friends. In the meantime, always remember God drives the rig at the end, and Wes was okay and at peace with that and turned over the wheel.
