Wayne Lewis Gray

92, of Martinsville, IN, passed away on November 24, 2016. Wayne was born on May 29, 1924 in Indianapolis, the son of the late Bertha and Dale Fry. He was a 1942 graduate of Shortridge High School and a 1949 graduate of Butler University. He was an Army veteran of WW II. He was a retired Educator and Principal for Indianapolis Public Schools. He was a member of Tabernacle Presbyterian Church, American Legion Post 2017, Millersville Masonic Lodge, Murat Shrine, Martinsville Kiwanis Club and Principal Education Club. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Eleanor Humes Gray. He is survived by his children, Karen L (Dennis) Scamihom, Dr. Kenneth W. (Janet) Gray and Paula L. (Kevin) Luzader; grandchildren, Benjamin, Catherine, Lisa, Jenni, Stuart, Phillip and Heather; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Money and friend, Catherine Luker. Services will be Saturday, December 3, 2016 at noon with calling from 10 a.m. at Tabernacle Presbyterian Church. Entombment will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Tabernacle Presbyterian Church Media Department. Arrangements handled by Flanner and Buchanan-Broad Ripple.
