Wayne Henry Cox Sr., 79, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully in his home with loved ones by his side January 23rd, 2022.
He was born September 13th, 1942 to the late James H. and Farole (Pettigrew) Cox of Fortville, Indiana.
He proudly served in the US Army, completing two tours in Vietnam before retiring Master Sergeant in 1981.
He will unite in Heaven with his loving wife of 59 years, Charna (Culter) Cox, son Steven Edwards, sisters Patricia Brickey, Alecia Shewman and Cynthia Coffman.
He is survived by children Wayne H (Susan) Cox, Jr., John (Jane) Cox, Lisa Bredeson, James (Wendy) Cox, stepchildren Russel (Brinda) Edwards and Penny Brawner; several grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday Feb. 1st, at FLanner Buchanan Memorial Park from 12-2pm. His service will begin at 2pm.
