Wayne E. Allen

Wayne Eugene Allen 72 of Zionsville, IN passed away November 11, 2019.  Wayne was born on March 22, 1947 in Lebanon, IN to Garold William and Mary Electa (Collenbaugh) Allen.  Wayne was a member of the Indianapolis Glendale Seventh Day Adventist Church.  He was a self-employed realtor in Boone County, IN and loved to help others by giving of his time, talent and treasures by helping his neighbors and friends. Wayne spent countless hours working on the Allen family genealogy.  He also was very involved in the Boone County Economic Council to bring jobs and businesses into the County.  He was the past president of the Boone County Historical Society and past president of the National Trust for Historical Preservation in Boone County. Wayne is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Charles Lloyd Allen. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday Nov. 20, 2019 at Flanner Buchanan-Zionsville at 1 pm with calling from 10:30 am to service time.  Wayne is survived by his brothers Kenneth Lee (Jayne) Allen and John William Allen, his sister in law; Karen Allen and 7 nieces and nephews; Cindy, Linda, Kim, Matt, Greg, Scott and Emily. Burial will be in Hutton Cemetery in Zionsville, IN.  Memorial contributions may be given to the Indianapolis Glendale Seventh Day Adventist Church.
