Wayne Begley

Wayne McKinley Begley, 86, Indianapolis, passed away July 5, 2017. He was born in London, Kentucky on October 25, 1930 to the McKinley and Millie (Mullins) Begley. Wayne was a veteran of the U.S. Army, proudly served the 101st Airborne Division, also known as the “Screaming Eagles”. He will be remembered for his love of family and music. Wayne played the bass, sang gospel and bluegrass, and was active in church.

Wayne is preceded in death by his spouses, Dorothy Violet Begley and Irma Lockett-Begley; sisters, Regina Sexton and Sylvania Napier; brother, Ruthford Begley and grandson, Gregory Morgan.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his children, Carolyn (Keith) Shafer, Linda Muncy, Michael (Penny) Begley, Mark (Colleen) Begley, and Brent (Debbie) Begley; siblings, Christopher Begley, Charles Begley, William Begley, and Jesse Begley; many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
