Warren R. Engel

85, of Indianapolis passed away on January 28, 2020. Warren R. Engel was born July 7, 1934 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to the late Bill and Bernice (Reip) Engel. Bill graduated from Western Michigan University with a degree in paper technology. He worked for 30 plus years for the Mead Corporation in Chillicothe, Ohio. He also worked for Standard Register Corp in Indianapolis. He was a member of the Scottish Rite in Indianapolis, and the Anchor Lodge in Kalamazoo. He was a member of Zion Evangelical UCC. He sang in the choir at Zion as well as the Scottish Rite. He volunteered for (CIBA) Central Indiana Bicycle Association, The Wellington Group, Zion and many other places. He leaves to cherish his memories, his son, Fred Engel of Columbus, Ohio; daughter, Susan Lampert (Jeff); grandchildren, Erin, Nick, Joey, Allison, Miles, and Sam. A memorial gathering will be held Saturday, February 22, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. -2:00 p.m. at Flanner Buchanan-Washington Park North 2706 Kessler Blvd West Dr. Indianapolis, IN 46228. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. In Lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
