Wanda L. Hibner

Wanda L. Hibner of Greenfield, IN, passed away on December 15, 2022, at the age of 94.  Wanda was born in Knox County, Sandborn, IN on May 28, 1928 to Lexie and Bessie Faye (McDonald) McKee.

Wanda was a graduate of Arsenal Technical High School in 1946.

She received a Distinguished Service Award for 29 years with the Business Office of MSD of Lawrence Township School District.

Wanda was actively involved in several square dance groups with her husband, Charles.  This allowed them to travel across the United States, Europe and Canada.  She loved the outdoors, camping, tending to her flowers and showing palominos horses with her daughter.

Wanda enjoyed entertaining for large groups, like her Euchre Group and cooking for her friends and family at holiday gatherings.  She dearly loved her family and will be greatly missed by all.

Wanda married Charles E. Hibner on February 12, 1950, they spent 72 wonderful years together, he survives.  She is also survived by her daughter, Sandy (Jim) Bledsoe of Greenfield; grandchild: Teri (Daniel) McClintick of Anderson; great-grandchildren: Destinee (Jordan) Ripberger, Kolton (Grace) McClintick, Katlynn (Ryan) Collins, Danielle (Jeremy) Dell; great-great-grandchildren: Haxton Collins, Tinzleigh Dell, and soon to be baby Ripberger.  Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; a stepfather: Joe Puckett; a stepmother: Marguerite (Nickerson) McKee; and one grandson: Tony Bledsoe.

Visitation will be held from 11 am until 1 pm, Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East (10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis). A funeral service will be held at 1 pm, directly following the visitation. Burial will follow the funeral service at Washington Park East Cemetery.
