Wanda Faye Porter

Wanda Faye Porter, 83, passed away peacefully in her sleep, Wednesday, May 5, 2021, at home after a long battle of illness. She was born in Monroe County on June 15, 1937. Her parents were Nellie Naomi and George Brown. She will be gratefully missed. She was the wife of Robert Wright Porter for 63 years. She was the mother of Christina Reed, Deborah Reilly, Terry Owens, Jeffrey Porter, Tammy Graham. She was a Grandmother to 43 grandchildren, great and great-great. She touched many people and was known as “smiley” with an infectious smile. She was loved by all. Camping, traveling, and sightseeing were her enjoyment.

Services are being handled by Flanner Buchanan – Floral Park. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 13, 2021 from 11am to 1pm with Funeral Services directly following at 1pm. Wanda’s Final Resting Place will be at Floral Park Cemetery.
