Walter James "Jim" Butler

Walter James “Jim” Butler, 83 of Indianapolis, passed away on Saturday March 27, 2021 with his family by his side. He was born on October 25, 1937 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Jim leaves behind his loving wife of nearly 38 years, Barbara; sons, Thomas, Arthur (wife, Tammy); daughter Tonya (husband, Michael); grandchildren, Rachel, Kyle, Brianna, Shelby, and Delaney; great grandchildren, Ashley, and Liam; brothers, Morris, and Billy; sister, Starr; and many extended family members and friends. He is preceded in passing by his parents, William and Helen; and siblings, Peggy, Terry, and Sheila.

Friends and family are invited to gather from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday April 1, 2021 at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East (10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229). Additional visitation will be held on Friday April 2, 2021 at 12:00 pm, where a funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
