Virginia Purdue

Virginia A. Purdue, 92, of Roachdale, IN passed away November 15, 2020 at her home surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on August 8, 1928 to the late Clarence and Margaret Dougherty in Washington, Indiana.

Virginia worked as a secretary over the years for multiple companies including BF Goodrich and Century 21.  She and her husband raised four children on a small farm in rural Indiana. While her children were her passion, she was an avid reader and a great cook. She was a meek woman with a powerful faith in God.

She is survived by her beloved children; eldest son, Thomas Michael, Patrick Raymond, daughter, Jennifer Michele and youngest son, Kerry Devon. Along with her children’s spouses, she had 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Tommy Raymond, her little sister, Patricia and her brother, Robert.

Services will be held privately with interment at Washington Park East Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East.
