Virginia Mae Parker, 96, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2017. She was born on July 28, 1921 as the daughter of Harley and Adeline Reel. She married Harry A. Parker.
Virginia was a member of Open Door Baptist Church while she lived in Indiana. When she moved to Missouri, she became a member of Delhi Baptist Church. Virginia loved singing in the choir and playing the piano, and spending time with her family.
Virginia is survived by her children, Carla Clark, Vicky Percival, LaDonna McAuley and Don Luca; 17 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; husband; stepson, Brian Parker; grandsons, Phillip Thomas and Damian Luca; and several siblings.
A memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 from 11am until 2pm at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St, Indianapolis, IN 46229. A memorial service will immediately follow at 2pm, also at the funeral center. In memory of Virginia’s love for hats, all guests are encouraged to wear their favorite hat to attend the services.
