Virginia K. Sutton

Virginia K. Sutton, 92, died on Sunday, April 3^rd. A long-time resident of Indianapolis,Virginia was married to Rev. Orval V. Sutton for 57 years until his death in2004. Virginia is survived by a sister,Shirley Stephens (Henry); sons, Thomas L. (Debra), Steven W. (Debbie), DennisR. (Susan), and Richard E. (Sharon); grandchildren, Casey, Amanda, Deanna,Michael, Katherine, Derek and Jackie; and great-grandchildren Emma andBenjamin.

Virginia was born and raised in Richmond, Kentucky. She married the love of her life, OrvalSutton, on May 28, 1947 in the Union City Baptist Church. She graduated from Eastern KentuckyUniversity and attended classes at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary inLouisville, while Orval was completing his Bachelor of Divinity degree.

A devoted wife and mother, Virginia passionately committedthe rest of her energies to the work of her Lord. Over the years she assumed a leadership rolein a multitude of church activities, mission work, and charitable affairs.

A visitation and viewing will be held at Flanner and Buchanan– Washington Park North, 2706 Kessler Boulevard on Wednesday, April 6^thbetween 11:00 A.M. and 1:00 P.M. followed by a Memorial Service at 1:00P.M. Entombment will be at WashingtonPark North Cemetery. In lieu of flowersmemorial contributions may be made to Crooked Creek Baptist Church 5540Michigan Rd Indianapolis, IN 46228.
