Virginia "Jinny" B. Waymire

Virginia “Jinny” B. Waymire, 87, of McCordsville, IN, passed away on June 14, 2022. She was born on July 27, 1934 in Indianapolis to the late Samuel B. and Laura M. Tyre Scalf.

She attended Mt. Comfort High School and went on to work as a Credit Manager with Borden Dairy. Beyond her work, she dedicated her time to her family, which was the most important. She raised her five sons in the McCordsville area and was a dedicated mother. She loved to cook and showed her love through caring for others. She was a lifelong member of Mt. Comfort United Methodist Church.

Jinny is preceded in passing by her beloved husband Ralph O. Waymire; brothers, Charles Scalf, and Ralph Herman; and sisters, Betty Book and Dottie Macy.

She is survived by her five beloved sons, Robert O. Waymire, James K. Waymire, Donald K. Waymire, Richard B. Waymire, and Timothy Waymire; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to The National Kidney Foundation or The Alzheimer’s Association.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 21, 2022 from 11AM-2PM with funeral services to begin at 2PM all held at Flanner Buchanan – Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229. Burial to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Services may be livestreamed by clicking HERE
