Viola Cripe

Viola Harriet Cripe joined her beloved husband in an angelic dance on the divine streets of Heaven on August 9, 2024. She was 88.

Viola, born on the 2nd of September in 1935, she loved Elvis, George Strait and Conway Twitty, she could listen for hours. She loved word puzzles and music which was a significant part of her joyful life.

She loved her home of 25 years.

She will be welcomed into Heaven by her husband of 59 years, John Franklin Cripe, her parents, Isaac & Margaret Smock, her siblings James (Ramona) Smock and Mary (Harold) Workman, her children Debra (James) Hanson and James (Sharon) Cripe.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, John (Candy) Cripe, Gary (Marlana) Cripe, David Cripe and daughter Lori (Kevin) Flora, her 19 Grandchildren, her 29 Great Grandchildren and 5 Great Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Friday, August 23, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Flanner Buchanan - Washington Park East Funeral Center, located at 10722 East Washington Street Indianapolis, IN 46229.

The funeral service for Viola will begin at 2:00 PM. Chaplain Ronnie Romans will officiate.

Interment will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery where Viola will be laid to rest with her husband John Franklin Cripe.
