Vickie Ann Pleasant

Vickie Pleasant passed away on November 25, 2022. She was born on September 30 ,1959 in Harlan, KY to her parents Forester and Pauline (Smith) Gray.

Vickie married the love of her life, Glenn Pleasant, in 1978. They went on to have 2 daughters together. Vickie was a very generous and kind woman. She would not hesitate to help anyone in need. She was a wonderful big sister. Vickie was the oldest of 6 children and always made sure they were taken care of. She was described as the pillar of strength for the family, holding everyone together.

Some of Vickie’s hobbies include gardening, working out in her yard, and cooking. She loved to cook for her family. Her specialties were her stuffed porkchops and Spanish rice. Above all else, she loved her family the most. She greatly valued her grandchildren and her great grandbaby. She will be missed by all that knew her.

Vickie is survived by her husband, Glenn Pleasant; her father, Forester Gray; her children, Sherri Pleasant, and Heather (Eric) McCorkhill; her siblings, Linda (Mike) Hildebran, Debbie (Joe) Combs, Roger (Cathy) Gray, Sherman Gray, Terry Gray; her grandchildren, Sierra Pleasant, Eric McCorkhill Jr., Jazzmae McCorkhill, Nevaeh McCorkhill, Alexandria McCorkhill; her great grandbaby Raelyne Dumas, and numerous other family members and friends.

She is preceded in passing by her mother, Pauline (Smith) Gray, her sister-in-law, Sheryl Gray, and her nephew Robert Nalley.

Funeral services will be held at Flanner Buchanan – Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 29, from 5pm to 7pm. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, November 30, beginning at 1pm. She will be laid to rest in Memorial Park Cemetery.
