Vernon "Pop" R. Sears

Vernon “Pop” R. Sears, 83, passed away August 13, 2018. He was born on September 12, 1934, in Somerset, Kentucky. Pop was a law enforcement officer for 29 years. He also served in the Army Engineers for 3 years. He was a member of the “Royal Order of Blue Noses” while aboard the LST 325. He loved camping and spending time with family. He was preceded in death by son Scott A. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Martha A, sons Randall L (Michelle), Michael R, and Scott’s wife Karen Sears. 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren. Visitation, Thursday, August 16, Flanner Buchanan. 2950 N High School Rd, Speedway. 4-8pm. Burial will be private.
