Vera Edith Byrd

Vera Edith Byrd was born on Feb. 27, 1936 in Franklin, Tennessee to Robert and Maydell Duke. She departed this life on Nov. 27, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Maydell Duke, one daughter, Anna Marie Borja, and one sister, Mary Francis Marion. She leaves behind to mourn her passing, her husband of 53 years, Paul Hubert Bryd, and children, Donald Joe Borja, Regena Borja Davis and her husband Ricky, Terry Lee Byrd and wife Waylaree, and two brothers, Junior Duke and wife Barbara, and Paul Ray Duke and wife Brenda, eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Vera was a member of Little Zion United Baptist Church.

Friends and family are invited to gather from 5:00-8:00pm on Wednesday, November 30th and on Thursday, December 1st from 10:00-11:00am, with a funeral service to follow at 11:00am at Flanner and Buchanan- Washington Park East.
