Vaughan T. Olsen, 80 of Fishers, passed away Monday, August 3, 2020 at her home in the arms of her loving husband. Vaughan was born October 16, 1939 in Chicago, IL to the late Alexander S. and Rhoda E. Michaelson. After attending the University of Illinois (Champaign, IL) for one year, she felt a different calling and returned to Chicago and attended to and graduated from Ravenswood Hospital School of Nursing.
Vaughan was a registered nurse. She worked at Community Hospital East and in private practice with Dr. Richard Biggerstaff, MD. She was a member of Christ the Savior Lutheran Church and was a volunteer with the Hamilton Southeastern Youth League. Vaughan was an avid sports fan and thoroughly enjoyed watching her daughters participate in many different sporting activities as they grew up.
Family and friends are invited to gather from 5:00 to 8:00 pm Friday, August 7th at Flanner Buchanan-Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, Conner Suite. Additional visiting hours will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am Saturday, August 8th at Christ the Savior Lutheran Church, with funeral services following from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Vaughan is survived by her husband of over 58 years, Perry C. Olsen, whom she met when she was 15 years old. They were married Dec.23, 1961. Also surviving are; daughters, Sandra A. (husband, Marc) Darst, Nancy V. Golden, Carolyn K. Olsen and Linda M. Zirkelbach; grandchildren, Madeline Golden, Meredith Golden, Perry A. Olsen, Erica Zirkelbach and John Zirkelbach; sister, Rhoda A. (husband, George) Duve.
