Vanessa Lauren (Mccormick) Blake

Vanessa Lauren (McCormick) Blake age 33, passed away at her residence in Greenwood, IN surrounded by family at her bedside. Vanessa was born on April 28, 1989, in Anderson, Ohio and moved to Johnson County, Indiana during early childhood. Vanessa graduated from Center Grove High School as a student athlete record holder for Shotput in Track & Field events. After high school, Vanessa found joy in motherhood, marriage, and work in the cosmetology and healthcare industries. She was a devoted mother, loving wife, and beautifully spirited person. Vanessa is preceded in death by Patricia Suttles (grandmother) and Charles Blake (father-in-law). Vanessa is survived by husband Christopher Blake and daughter Gracelynn; parents Jay Charles and Cathy McCormick; brothers Jacob McCormick and Jared (Andrea) McCormick; mother-in-law Kat Blake; sister-in-law Jessica (Jeff) Burnell.
A funeral service will be held in Flanner Buchanan-Decatur Township, Indianapolis, IN on Thursday June 16, 2022. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00p.m. followed by ceremony at 2:00 p.m.
