On Sunday, 23, September, our family suffered a deep loss. The matriarch of the Blair family, Treva Blair, earned her wings. A mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, she lived her life for others. She was adventurous and willing to take 4 granddaughters to an amusement park or camping trip to a State park on her own. She made sure the stove was on so we could have eggs the minute we walked in the door, or have home-made noodles for those special occasions, and there was always a warm cup of coffee at the ready. While she lived her life for her family, she included veterans, military families, and the ladies auxiliary as part of the family as well. She volunteered for over 30 years at the VA and started a Christmas program that still continues today. In 2012 she received the Francis Polen award for Outstanding Service to Veterans. Though we will miss you dearly, those left behind are glad you are home with your Father in heaven. (and Grandpa)
