Tonya Mays

Tonya Marie Mays, 37, of Indianapolis passed away on March 8, 2020. She was born on February 3, 1983 to her loving mother, Enda Hug, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Tonya was a dedicated employee for Community North Hospital working in JWM Neurology. She absolutely adored not only her friends at work, but her patients as well. Tonya would often stay late to make sure her patients received the best care, and ensure their needs were taken care of. Tonya was full of life. She loved to have a good time with family and friends. Tonya especially loved being around her loving fiancé of seven years, Noah. It was simple, wherever he went; she went. Tonya was an amazing mother to four beautiful children, and a new grandma to her first grandbaby boy. Tonya’s welcoming nature allowed her to take in anyone in need, and she would never give up on anyone. She had so much love to give to this world. Tonya’s smile was so infectious, she would always light up any room she walked in. Tonya was always on the go, constantly doing what made her happy in life. She was a leader, a nurturer, and most importantly a fighter. Tonya will be missed deeply by all the lives she’s touched. Tonya is survived by her Mother, Enda Hug; her Stepfather, George Cantrell; her Father, Michael Hug Sr.; her Spouse, Noah Broadstreet; her Children, Danielle Hamilton, Taylor Mays, Ethan Mays, and Logan Broadstreet; her siblings, Sheena Jenkins (Travis), Michael Hug Jr. (Tamara); her Grandson, Kentrell Hamilton; her Aunt, Mary Hamilton; her Uncles, Danny and Eddie Hamilton; her Niece and Nephews, Travis Jenkins III, Michael Hug III, and Izabella Hug; and her Grandma, Patty Rigsby. Tonya is preceded in death by her grandparents, Joyce and Eddie Hamilton; her Great-Grandma, Mae Sutton; and her cousin, Lil Ed.
