Toni Renee Stroud

Toni R. Stroud, 54, of Martinsville, Indiana passed away on April 9, 2018. She was born June 21, 1963 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Charles and Sharon Sutche.

Born and raised in Indiana, Toni lived a full, happy life. She met the love of her life, David Stroud, through his daughter Rebecca. Little did Toni know that Rebecca would go on to become her step-daughter. David and Toni married on November 5, 1994, of all places in her own parent’s home. They grew as a couple and raised their large blended family in Martinsville.. Toni never knew a stranger; she was loving and full of life to all those around her. She was a family centered woman for sure, she even “collected kids” as everyone loved Aunt Toni as their own mother, and she loved them as her own kids. She also loved Diet-Pepsi, collecting all things pig, but mostly she adored her grandchildren.

Toni is predeceased by her mother, Sharon Sutche; son, Joey Nelson; son-in-law, John Bolin; and brother-in-law, Randy Mings. Surviving to cherish her memory are husband of 23 years, David; children, Barbara (Dale) Novalance, Rebecca Stearley, Rose Mary (Michael) Ballard Spell, Jon Nelson, Eva Stroud, Ben (Sandy) Stroud, Kia Bolin, Jacquie (Mike) Woodard, Luke (Meagan) Stroud, Jodi (Clint) Wooten, April Roberts, Zac Atwood, and Cody Sims; sisters, Penny Sutche and Valerie Mings; 31 grandchildren as well as a host of extended family and friends.

Family and friends may visit Thursday, April 12 from 11-1 PM at Flanner Buchanan – Decatur Township, 5463 Kentucky Avenue, Indianapolis. Services will take place immediately following at 1 PM. Toni will be laid to rest at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery of Hall, 5409 W. Hurt Road, Monrovia, IN, immediately following services.

Family requests all those attending to dress casually as that is what Toni would have wanted. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Valerie Mings to help the family recoup some of the Toni’s medical and funeral costs.
