Ellettsville , Indiana – Timothy Arthur passed away after being comforted by his family on February 27, 2025. His love for unusual trivia, his air drumming, and most of all, his love for his family will be deeply missed.
Tim was born to parents Jack Arthur and Katie (Kelley) Forsythe on March 19, 1959, in Greenfield, Indiana. He attended Lawrence North High School and was a member of their first graduating class in 1978, which was a bit of a miracle. At 16, Tim was severely injured in an automobile accident, making his graduation a true test of his determination.
He followed this up by joining the United States Army in 1978, working with the Military Police. A proud soldier, he was very proud of his work with them. A true journeyman, Tim worked many fields including Security for events at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and working with his mother cleaning the tracks for several NASCAR events.
During his free time, Tim was a huge sports fan. He loved the Packers and Notre Dame football teams, and watching NASCAR. He was also a huge supporter of the family and would be at any sporting event that he was able to get to and cheer them on as if he was at a professional game. A lover of music, especially classic rock and his collection of vinyl records was a monument to his favorite artists.
Tim is preceded in death by Grandmother Bernadine Kelley, Grandfather Charles Kelley, Grandmother Marge Kelley, Grandfather Charles Arthur, Grandmother Vera Johnson, Grandmother Lind Johnson, and his brother-in-law, Mike Muncy.
