Thomas Louis Werler, 47, Noblesville, passed away unexpectedly from a pulmonary embolism on September 24, 2018. He was born January 15, 1971, in Indianapolis, the son of William L. and Kathleen (Ham) Werler. He married Anna Yotter on February 3, 1996.
Tom was a 1989 graduate of Noblesville High School where he played all four years on the golf team. He then attended Indiana University, Bloomington for four years. While at IU he started working at Progolf and continued for several years before beginning his current career at Charles Schwab.
Tom was an avid golfer; he enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and playing poker. He was a sports enthusiast, and a fan of the Indianapolis Colts, Chicago Cubs, and Chicago Bears. He will always be remembered by many as the big guy who literally stood head and shoulders above the crowd. He was never short of witty or humorous comments.
He was a devoted father, husband, and son. He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Anna Werler; two sons Nathaniel “Nate”, 19 and Christopher George “CG”, 15; parents, William and Kathleen Werler; sister, Carolyn (Rich) Broyles; and father-in-law and his wife, Charles and Sue Yotter. He was preceded in passing by his mother-in-law and her husband, Linda and Jim Haskins.
A Celebration of Life will be from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Saturday, September 29, 2018, at Wolfies Lakeside Grill, 20999 Hague Road, Noblesville. Online condolences may be shared by visiting flannerbuchanan.com. Arrangements were entrusted to Flanner Buchanan – Carmel.
